This was a field visit rather than a workshop or a session — students taken to Barhasinghe to see a working operation first-hand.

Field visits exist because certification is not the whole of what OCU Academy is for. A student can learn what a system does and still have no picture of the operation it belongs to: the physical plant, the people running it, the constraints that decide what gets built and what does not.

Nothing on a slide replaces having been there. The point of the format is that the technical material students study afterwards has somewhere concrete to land.
