Cloud Innovation Day Surkhet

Cloud Innovation Day Surkhet ran over two days in June 2025, in the mid-west of the country.

Over two days the workshop moves from cloud fundamentals — what the cloud is, how AWS is structured, the core compute, storage, networking and database services, and the shared responsibility model — into architectural thinking and hands-on work, so the second day builds on the first rather than repeating it.

Surkhet, like Birgunj and Mahendranagar, is a long way from where technology industry activity concentrates. Holding the workshop there rather than inviting people to Kathmandu is the point of the format.
