AWS Cloud Innovation Day - Birgunj

Cloud Innovation Day is a workshop format OCU Academy runs on campus, and this one was held in Birgunj.

The workshop introduces cloud computing as it is used rather than as it is defined: what the cloud actually is, why organisations move to it, how AWS is laid out across regions and availability zones, the main service families for compute, storage, networking and databases, and how billing and the shared responsibility model change the way systems are designed.

Running these outside Kathmandu is deliberate. Students in Birgunj sit the same examinations and enter the same job market as students in the capital, but industry exposure has historically concentrated in one city. Holding the session on their campus removes the travel that would otherwise decide who attends.
