AWS Cloud Connect was a community day facilitated by One Cloud Utopia with Karnovation — a gathering rather than a class, built around the cloud community and the people already working in it.
Events in this format run on talks and conversation instead of a curriculum. What they offer students is different from what a workshop offers: exposure to how practitioners describe their own work, which problems they are actually paid to solve, and what the local market for cloud skills looks like from inside it.
Community days also work in the other direction. They give OCU Academy a reading of what institutions and employers are asking for, which is what the Academic Alliance programmes are then shaped around.
